The tile work is done and our to-do list is now filled with smaller things like filling holes and painting trim and doors.

The pantry turned cubby storage is one of my favorite little moments (thank you, John!).

And I think when they go green they will feel even more special.

Micah put the hardware on, and I’m really glad we went simple with these pretty little knobs. Other than cleaning and painting we have the baseboards to put on the cabinets and the mirrored backsplash will be going in in a few weeks. Totally finished or not, this space is already such a joy to be in. I can’t pretend that cooking has become an overnight love, but dinner prep is certainly a bit more delightful! Happy weekend, friends!

Looks great so far, that floor!!
This is the kitchen of the year!
Agreed!
Stunning, amazing, awesome, and divine. This is we expect from Gwen- the Makerista. She never disappoints, Her style is spot on and her taste is impeccable!!!
Ha, well this might be the most kind comment I’ve ever received! Thank you, Sherri for making my day! 🙂
Very pretty floor! Can’t wait to see the mirror backsplash – it sounds really special!

I just love the shine on those floor tiles. It all looks really beautiful, Gwen!
I love your kitchen. It looks like an authentic French kitchen… especially that beautiful floor. Can’t wait to see it all finished.
It looks absolutely amazing!!!! B
Thanks, Frannie, you guys will have to come over once it’s all done!
I’m loving your kitchen! I can’t wait to see the final reveal!
Also, not sure if you’re aware, but your feed hasn’t updated since February (at least in Feedly) and I just noticed when they announced the ORC participants! I would hate for others to miss out on your fantastic spaces!
Thanks, Jennifer! I know, I have gotten a lot of emails about it but unfortunately Feedly has to update the RSS, it’s out of my hands. I’ve reached out to them, but if you can as well maybe that will speed things up. You can always subscribe by email until then!
The edge band is sooo good. and the molding! I know Micah’s a pro but seriously this is perfection. Bravo to both of you.
So impressed! It’s just lovely. Hope you enjoy for many years.
Thanks, Theresa, I know we will!
Arrrrr…I am sage green with envy, Gwen!! Lol! This kitchen is going to be amazing, absolutely in love with the floor!
Gwen, it looks beautiful! I love the cabinet color, the floor and that subway tile that goes on for dayzz! So timeless and fabulous. I saw a picture of one of the floors at Versaille Palace today and totally thought of your kitchen!
Thanks, Whitney!
I’m new to your site. Love it! Would you mind sharing the color green that you used?
