I think my kids are going a bit stir crazy. I probably am too. But as of late they are only good children when I give them my undivided attention. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, but it doesn’t make it a very productive thing. I’m a list-maker, a list-checker, I like the accomplished feeling at the end of the day. Not much of that has been going on lately, but I’ve been capturing my kids and our daily time together more, so for that I am thankful. In 20 years I won’t remember how great it felt to organize the laundry room, but I’ll be so happy to look at these photos and grateful I took the time to stop and savor the moment.

Running circles as their mother prays they don’t smack their heads on the corner of the coffee table.
These are some of the happier times, but when Milly’s not getting things just as she likes, the tears show up very quickly. If we’re doing this at 18 months, I don’t even want to think about 13 years!
But I’m determined to get over this hump and move on to the long list of projects I’m dying to get my hands on. Our master bedroom has not had much done to it since we got married, and it’s first on the list.
I picked up the paint last night, and as long as a nap time happens today I’ll get started. We’re supposed to hit 60 degrees, so I might even get to work with the windows open!
As spring approaches, are you itching to refresh some spaces in your home too? I’d love to hear about them!

I know! Xander doesn't even take a nap anymore. It makes for a very long day!
Getting things done around the house is SO hard with little ones underfoot. Such great pics of your kiddies here! It's been a long road for me trying to get my three year old not to scream and burst into tears at the slightest disappointment, but we're just about there. Here's hoping it's a quicker turnaround for you with Milly!

Love the photos! I have the same tendencies to check off that list. One thing I appreciated was a friend once told me that she decided to ditch the list. She was even a bigger list maker than I, and she felt the list was ruling her life in a bad way and taking her focus off what God wanted to show her. After she shared about it, I went listless for a while and it was great. I do need a little bit of a list though, mommy brain attacks! My son is just 19 months and we went through the exact same stage recently, and I noticed yesterday it finally stopped. He has been very hard to satisfy and seemed to cry at the drop of a hat, and definitely needed all of my attention! I think we're going stir crazy too, and if he notices that I'm stressed or bored or mad he gets that way too. I wrote about it recently on my blog!

Oh, we have stir crazy happening at epic levels over here! I have an 11 and 8 year old running around inside playing tag. ha ha. Actually, they still manage to hit corners.. 🙂 Oh, Spring, please, please come soon! Yesterday was the first day anywhere near 32 in a long time. Today will be in the forties. Oh lord, that will be grand! We might go for a picnic. ha ha.
Ha, I'm sure my kids will still be crazy when they get older, but at least by then I'll be able to send them in the basement or outside alone, and Milly will be able to tell me what's wrong (if she chooses to, I guess 🙂 ). Thanks for sharing, glad we're not alone!
