The 12 hour trek to and from Ohio this last week was easier with 3 small kids than I would have imagined, and the time there was well spent. My husband’s grandma lives right outside of Lima, a modest town with plenty of thrifting to be had. Between his bargain-hunting grandma and antiquing aunt, I had wonderful guides and enjoyed the time with them so much.
I came home with a beautiful mint planter and a pair of horse bookends.
And I also found the perfect piece for our bathroom reno. A few weeks ago I showed you a dresser I was working on for the space, but in my excitement over it’s beauty I didn’t double check my measurements: it was just too big. The story of how I got this new piece is fun, and I’ll share it once I reveal the space. We also spent a good amount of time with cousins and food….way too much food.
It’s the big week! I’ll be busy at my house with a really fun project that I’ve been dying to share – I can’t wait to fill you in. I’ll be back next week to spill the beans, but in the meantime I’ll be showing you some sneak peeks on Instagram. Hope you have a lovely week!

Haha, washing her mouth out with soap. I can't believe she liked it.
Love the planter you got.
LOVE those bookends & how hysterical about her putting the bubble wand in her mouth. Too cute!!!

There is something so touching about shopping for the home with different generations. I recently did this with my mother-in-law while in Germany and just love how it bonded us even closer. Great finds.
That sounds amazing, Amy! It's so true, much to take in and learn from them.
Those bookends are awesome! Your pictures are always so cute – where did you get your daughter's leather jacket?? It is so adorable!
Michelle, it's Joe Fresh for JCPenney. I love everything in that collection!
Glad you had a nice time! So excited to see your bathroom!
Can't wait to share!
The bookends are perfect! I love a good marble look no matter what the piece! Can't wait to see the project next week 🙂

ohhh…I love the new book ends! I can't wait to see more of your bathroom! Hopefully those soaps won't get eaten too!
What great finds. I love that mint planter. Hope the photo shoot is a blast. It is a whirlwind of excitement. Enjoy it!!
I adore the horse book ends! And your simple styling on the bathroom piece is great – love the simple whites & golds.
I saw your sneaks on IG and I am so excited to hear more!! And your trip to Ohio looks so refreshing. I love weekends like that that force you to just slow down. And your little man's haircut is too adorable!
Great finds! I have bookends just like that except they are a lighter color. Looks like a fun and action-packed weekend! xo
Love those trips!
