I love learning about new products and gift guides are a great way to do that. The internet is filled with gifting recommendations right now, but instead of listing items I’d like to have, I thought it would be fun and hopefully useful to curate a guide that included items I already have and already give. These are the products I can’t stop talking about, or my loved ones request year after year.
1. MODERN MIX This book has meant so much to me this year. I continually reference it, and it has changed the way I thrift. Anyone who loves thrifting or is slightly interested in curating a more personal home needs it. And for a coffee table book it’s a steal!
2. NIGHT PILLOW Of all the gifts, this is the one to splurge on. I’ve never cared about pillows. Ever. I got this pillow, and it is a total game changer. I fall asleep right away, wake up with even skin and little to no bedhead and have never felt so refreshed. Whether it’s five hours of sleep or nine, I feel the same every time that alarm goes off. Refreshed! A week after getting the pillow I went out of town for a night and slept on a hotel pillow. I slept terrible! I couldn’t believe the difference, and since then I’ve taken this pillow with me on two other trips. Who am I? A crazy pillow lady now, apparently. My husband even got one and can tell a difference in how he sleeps. Friends and family have them and we now refer to it as Black Magic. 🙂 I don’t know anyone who hasn’t become obsessed with it. You won’t regret this one!
3. HANDBAG The perfect color in the perfect size, and I can actually see everything no digging. Plus, it’s on major sale.
4. CALENDAR Looking for a grandparent’s gift? Look no further. I’ve given these calendars along with these notepads to grandparents and great grandparents for several years now. One year I didn’t, and everyone was disappointed. The quality is excellent, the squares are big enough to write things in and the design is modern and pretty. And those notepads? I always get one for myself too because they make the best grocery lists. Pinhole Press is kindly giving all of my readers 15% off all products through Monday December 7th. Just use code MAKERISTA.
5. LIP BALM Looking for a little something extra to add to a friend or teacher gift? I swear by this drugstore purchase and keep one by my bed, one in the bathroom and one in my purse. It’s the only lip product I’ve used that isn’t sticky and doesn’t cake up.
6. BLOW DRYER I don’t actually own this blow dryer and yes, it is NOT cheap, but it’s amazing! I typically straighten my hair after blowdrying, but I didn’t have to when I used it. It worked fast and my hair felt incredible. I only wash my hair once a week, but if I was a more regular washer or had lots of wave or curl in my hair I’d be adding this to my list, no doubt!
7. JESUS CALLING How I start every morning.
9. CANDLE The blogland hype is real. I don’t usually like vanilla scented candles, but this scent is glorious. It’s got enough grit and spice to be interesting, and you can smell it all over the house without it being too strong.
Do you have any tried and true gifts? I’d love to hear, I’ve got some shopping to do myself!

Love your list. I will check into some of them. My tried and true gifts are sterling silver earrings or jewelry of any type. I buy it when I see it and fall in love with it and put it in my gift cabinet. I love the fact that I don't have to run to the store every time a friend has a birthday. The price points are perfect because I can purchase a pair of sterling silver earrings for $20 or $200 depending if they are handmade or not.

Gotta say, "Jesus Calling" should be Number #1 on the list. I've read this for years, and it is awesome! If we put God first each and every day, the rest of life somehow manages to fall into place!. Be bold in your beliefs. Some of you readers may not agree, but as Christians, we must speak His truth, whether it popular with the world or not. I really think you are amazing, and obviously this is just my opinion, but I just had to speak what I felt. Thanks for listening.

Just ordered the Night pillow! Thanks for the discount. I'm hoping it works for me. I've needed a new pillow for a couple of years and haven't found one I liked.
