A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to meet a dear “online friend.” And she was even better in person. I love it when that happens. I’ve been following Lindsay since lettering was just a fun hobby for her, and it’s been incredible to see what God has done with that gift of hers.
Laura and I shot Lindsay’s winter collection at my house, and I really didn’t think anything could top that, but this shoot at Laura’s house was perfection. Lindsay has branched out a bit to bring some more modern pieces to the mix (not only can she letter beautifully…the girl can paint), and that mix…let me tell you…it’s everything I love.
The coming together of traditional with modern and all of that beautiful color that still manages to be clean and pleasing to the eye – it’s all I hope for in design. Laura and Lindsay nailed this one, and it was fun to play with them for a bit.
Laura and I have been working on her living room for a while now, and I was so excited to see some of the projects (like these bookshelves we had built in) come to life with accessories and Lindsay’s pieces.
When Laura and I were brainstorming art for her living space I suggested a big floral still-life. I knew our friend Amy could put something beautiful together for Laura to shoot. I’m so thrilled that Lindsay is offering the piece for you to bring home to your own space. It’s strong yet ethereal and a way to enjoy blooms all year long.
You can see the whole collection on Lindsay’s website, and to get to know Lindsay and the pieces a bit better you can check out her Holiday Lookbook here (Lindsay is graciously sneak peeking this to you all – thanks Lindsay!). Use code MAKERISTA15 for 15% off your order until December 31st.
