I hope you all are having the most fantastic summer! We’re still knee deep in kids and a puppy over here, but loving the time with a bit less activity and a whole lot more swimming, adventure, and some renovation thrown in did you see our next project’s befores? It’s been a while since I’ve shared some things that have caught my eye lately on the blog, so let’s dive into another Bullet Points, shall we?
⋅ANN STREET STUDIO AT CHATEAU de GUDANES Someone who brings me complete inspiration and joy at the moment is Jamie Beck of Ann Street Studio. Jamie decided to start fresh and move from New York to Provence, France for a year and has recently extended that stay. She creates the most amazing still lifes and self portraits. She brings out the simple beauties in life and it feels really refreshing to watch her highlight life’s little moments. Don’t get me wrong, little moments in French countryside appear a lot more charming that suburban, middle America’s, but she really has helped me see small joys differently. Her recent stay at another Instagram account I enjoy, Chateau de Gudanes, has been so magical.
Also, if I had several hundred dollars to spend on a hat, it would be this one.
⋅LIVING IN DRESSES The summer has been a reminder of how much I love a good dress. Spending the last few years nursing and pregnant, my regular dresses haven’t been options, but this year I’ve returned to what is so easy to slip on and keep me cool through the heat. For my body type I’m always looking for something that comes in at the waist, has some shoulder coverage, I’m not a huge fan of strapless or a spaghetti strap hits at or below the knee, and has movement in the skirt. A little slit is a fun addition and pockets are the ultimate mom bonus! I thought I’d round some of my recent favorites up for you. Here’s what I have and love or am wanting to purchase. This one is on super sale and also comes in this color!

⋅ SMALL SPACE MUDROOM The coveted mudroom can be attained in the smallest of spaces. Today I’m over on Domino showing you how to create a drop zone that is functional and pretty at the same time! From baskets and hooks to the cutest little table I brought back to life with Rustoleum’s Varathane wood stain products, adding more storage can be simple and affordable too. See all of the tips and tricks here.
⋅HANK The beginning of summer we got a new labrador retriever puppy and named him Hank. I asked on Instagram what I needed as far as bedding. Most of you said nothing because a puppy will chew everything up, but there are two things that some readers sent that have actually stayed in wonderful condition. One is this traveling dog bed. It’s so affordable and was awesome when Hank was really small to take him in the car and to other people’s houses. I also LOVE these crate mats from Janery. You can throw the whole thing in the washer and dryer and they wash up so well. The quality is excellent. We have the Merlin in Cloud. P.S. I have gotten hundreds of questions about his dog bowls. I unfortunately got them at a local shop and this is the only place online I can find them. They are so beautiful!
⋅DECOR FROM THE YEAR YOUR WERE BORN I can’t resist a good list, and my friend, Aubrey, shared this one that I thought was fun. I’m definitely most drawn to the 20s and 30s. I love all of the graphic lines and details.
Do you like the decor from the year you were born? 1984 may have been the ugliest on the list!

FYI
Dog bowls – I actually called the store that you’d listed in the original post/instagram (can’t remember) and ordered them from the store.

The hat is gorgeous, but it’s enormous! Did you see it in the video?

Ha, yes, that’s what I love about it! I would just wear it in my backyard in an attempt to feel glamorous in the midst of kid chaos. Ha!

@paperfashion who I love on Instagram did a layered painting of that photograph at the top. I’m obsessed with it! You should check it out. https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17914642384168366/?hl=en
