⋅BEDSIDE UPDATES I’m slowly layering on the final touches to our master refresh, and I went with these $60 bamboo shades from Lowe’s the curtains should be here next week which have made such a difference in the feel already. I also brought up one of my very favorite photographs from the basement. While it looked wonderful down there, I hardly ever got to enjoy it. Now it’s the first thing I wake up to every morning.
⋅BAR STOOLS Have you taken a peek at CB2 lately? Oh my goodness, they’ve got some beautiful things. This table, these boxes, and this nightstand are great, and I could think of a million places to use this ottoman, this chair and this chic trophy. But I really want these barstools for our kitchen.
⋅4 MONTHS Almost four and a half now, my, it’s flying. Domino gets more fun every day, and is finally eating a bit less often – every 2.5 hours now. No wonder I’m usually exhausted. But she’s grown a ton, which is great for her tiny little self. She loves eating, grabbing at things, and giggling at her siblings. And floating in her Otteroo.
⋅OTTEROO I shared Domino wading around in one of these on Instagram stories, and the reaction was huge. It looks a little questionable, but this floatation device has brought her a lot of joy and me a lot of peace during bath time. She can’t sit up on her own yet, but she gently kicks herself from one side of the tub to the other and back. It’s incredible the instincts they have in the water at such a young age. You can tell she enjoys it, and she sleeps like a rock afterwards. Completely worth the investment and I’m sure it will come in handy in the pool this summer.
⋅HAIR RIBBONS I always say if you want to know what’s coming next in interiors, see what’s going on in fashion. I loved Tory Burch’s collection last month, and it was filled with the biggest accessory to hit the F/W ’17 runways: the hair ribbon. Elegant but simple enough to wear with a t-shirt and jeans, this look might not be for everyone, but it’s beautiful and another nod to traditional style. Fashion is currently full of traditional elements, which I find really exciting!
⋅SPRING BREAK We’re on break this week whoever planned that after the switch to Daylight Savings is a genius! and I’m doing my best to carve out some time each day for some fun. If you’re in KC and have any ideas for us, I’m all ears. Something fun and creative for all involved would be wonderful!
If you have a spring break, what are you plans? Who’s going somewhere fun?

You were debating whether to move that photo there on Insta-stories and I’m so glad you did. It looks beautiful in that spot!

Thank you, I agree! 😉

Your post inspired me to wear a ribbon in my hair over the weekend. I used to, throughout high school and college, even though it was kind of out of style at that point. But I’m glad you reminded me how fun and feminine it can be!
