With Fall also comes Halloween, which was without a doubt my favorite holiday to prepare for as a child. We went all out on decorations every year, including a graveyard, that my dad constructed and the rest of us painted, with infamous characters like Jack the Ripper and Dracula. As I labored away with my son, I got to thinking about the fact that he would have a birthday on Friday the 13th, and this was a second best to Halloween in my eyes.
The envelopes are these enclosers from Paper Source. I did a little abstract painting on some white paper to line them. I never really realized it before, but the graphic abstract art that is really trending right now definitely can have a "frightful" vibe.
For me, figuring out what I want to do is what always takes the longest. I can spend hours running thoughts and concepts through my head and then all of a sudden, something just screams "I'm it!" and then I'm off: scouring everything, anything, everywhere for all the right elements. When it comes to a party, the invitation sets the tone and is the part that really starts the momentum for the event. I'm excited to see what comes from here.
Are you as ready for fall as I am? What about the season do you look forward to the most? Pumpkin spice lattes? Apple orchards? Football games?
