At the beginning of this week, I told you I was working on a little project with this...
But, I had a space that I had been wanting to fill for a long time with not much luck.
this poster in Paper Source one day and figured for $5 it was worth a shot. It was about the right size and I liked the depth the black added to the space, balancing the chalkboard on the opposite wall. The problem was, the tape didn't stick so well, and during a nap one day the poster fell down on Xander's head. If you know my son, you know he is rather cautious and matter-of-fact. He did not like that thing coming down on his head and did not trust it to be up there anymore.
When I pulled out the coat of arms the other day, Xander was really fascinated by it, asking about all the different parts and what they meant. I knew I had to incorporate it into his space somehow, but I knew that it could not stand alone on that wall. With the help of my husband and my dad, Xander now has his own shield and coat of arms.
Tuesday's post, is this anywhere near what you were expecting? I'll be back next week to share some details and how we got to the final product. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
