I hope you had a lovely holiday! I received a few requests to share some more details about Milly’s birthday, so here we go! I was inspired by the rose, the flower for June and Milly’s middle name (after my late grandmother), but I knew I wanted to modernize it a bit. That’s where the black and white and the touches of gold came into play.
I remembered having these roses in my files from a while back and thought they were the perfect modern take for the invitations. The envelopes and tape are from Paper Source.
The “pure fresh milk” cups are from Homegoods as well. Gosh, I just love that place. You never know what you’re going to stumble upon. We had to have some Shatto Milk with all of those sweets. I could drink their root beer milk every. single. day.
The striped treat bags that I wrote her name on, the polka dot straws, the birthday candles, and the big balloon are all from Shop Sweet Lulu. I had found a bit better pricing on similar items through Etsy, but being able to pay one flat shipping rate for all of it was money-saving. My order processed and shipped very quickly, and it came in the cutest packaging (always fun!).
I found the birthday cake candelabra in the dollar bin at Walmart about a year ago. I know, crazy good deal. It was gold plastic to begin with, but not a very nice looking gold, so I jazzed it up with my favorite spray glitter and voila! Definitely my favorite find for the party!
All of the floral and sprays for the crown and the garland on the balloon came from Hobby Lobby.
For those of you looking for a tutorial on the swing, I plan to have that for you on Monday. Along with the DIY, I have a special surprise in store, so please check back!
Ok, now that I’ve shared with you some of my favorite party sources, where are your go to stores and websites for party supplies and decor?
