The 12 hour trek to and from Ohio this last week was easier with 3 small kids than I would have imagined, and the time there was well spent. My husband’s grandma lives right outside of Lima, a modest town with plenty of thrifting to be had. Between his bargain-hunting grandma and antiquing aunt, I had wonderful guides and enjoyed the time with them so much.
I came home with a beautiful mint planter and a pair of horse bookends.
And I also found the perfect piece for our bathroom reno. A few weeks ago I showed you a dresser I was working on for the space, but in my excitement over it’s beauty I didn’t double check my measurements: it was just too big. The story of how I got this new piece is fun, and I’ll share it once I reveal the space. We also spent a good amount of time with cousins and food….way too much food.
It’s the big week! I’ll be busy at my house with a really fun project that I’ve been dying to share – I can’t wait to fill you in. I’ll be back next week to spill the beans, but in the meantime I’ll be showing you some sneak peeks on Instagram. Hope you have a lovely week!

There is something so touching about shopping for the home with different generations. I recently did this with my mother-in-law while in Germany and just love how it bonded us even closer. Great finds.
