My super talented blog friend, Brittany, included me in a Tour of the Blogosphere, and since I enjoy reading Q&A’s from other people (after mysteries, biographies are my favorite) I thought I’d play along too. As I sat typing, I realized I had a lot to share for the first question: enough to break things up a bit – while I’ve always been a law follower, I’m rarely a rule follower. So today I thought I would answer question one, and also introduce you to another blogger I love to follow, and share the second half of the questions later this week.
1. WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?
Maybe all of this back to school bustle is what has me wanting to join in on all the activity? I personally love the anticipation of fall. What projects have you been up to lately?
Autumn Beach says
Woooooooow. I'm feeling a teensy bit unproductive at the moment. But delighting in these fabulous projects of yours just the same. π I think I recognize that dining room from that farmers market birthday party you featured a while back? Still love it and those white walls. And yes! I "know" Kristin thanks to you. You directed me to her blog about a year ago, and I've read it faithfully ever since. Her talent never ceases to amaze me! She is just plain fabulous. So thank you for introducing me!

I'm feeling a bit crazy at the moment. π I didn't really realize all that I had my hands in until I sat down to write about it. You're right, it's the same friend!

Ha! You are too cute. I think you're the type of person who must create. Ya know? For instance, I create if/when I make the time. But for you, it's just an overflow of who you are. You can't help but create! At least this is what I'm chalking my lack of productivity to. Ha! You are, after all, The Makerista. And I'm the girl who reads The Makerista. π And as if fall were not already my favorite time of year, my anticipation is even greater this year for two reasons: 1. West Elm and 2. IKEA! WOO. HOO!

I guess, you're right, I just can't help it! I know, I can't wait!

What a great series Gwen! Laura's dining room is looking fabulous. And is fall really right around the corner? Yikes!

Thanks, Michael! Considering it's 55 degrees out right now, fall may be technically weeks away, but it sure feels really close!

I didn't realize you do invitations! I know what you mean about not sharing, I do the same. Can't wait to see your house plans!

I didn't realize you do all this stuff. I love getting a peek into blogger's other projects. Thanks for sharing!

That dining room is the dining room of my dreams – so gorgeous! How wonderful to have such creative friends. And yes – isn't Kristin a rock star?!
themakerista@gmail.com says
I know, Rachel! Wait until you see what we have up our sleeves for the living areaβ¦you can't go wrong in this house, though!

A scented wax called the "Sanderson Sisters?" I love it!! haha

I'm glad you share my sentiments. π

I'm so glad to see Laura's dining room! I just moved into a new apartment with super high ceilings, and I've been having difficulties figuring out how to best use the wall space. Seeing how the sight lines are fairly low and letting the light colored walls open up the space is both inspiring and reassuring. I was really worried about all the vertical space.

First of all, congrats on selling your home and designing and building a new one! You are doing some amazing things. I love your friend's dining room and the invitation for the wedding looks so beautiful. What talent!
Elizabeth @ The Little Black Door says
You are hard at work my friend! We are very similar – I always assume people already know about things too so I never mention them. I'm trying to work on that. π Can't wait to hear more about all the great projects you have going on.
