ABOUT

My name is Gwen, and I am a Makerista.  I reside in Missouri with my handy husband (who helps me make), Micah, my children: Xander and Milly, and our black lab, Jake.

From a young age I have always had a strong desire to create.  It began with making music at the age of three and evolved into a jewelry company in college, a stint in the New York fashion industry, a career planning parties and marketing products, all culminating with the opportunity to make a home for my family and capture the moments we make here.

As a jane of all trades, I enjoy making anything and everything.  Whether it be something for myself, my children or my home, I believe there is beauty and satisfaction in making it yourself!  I hope you will join me as I document what I believe I was made to do: make!

  1. I just found your site and love it! Congrats on the new blog! I have two little kids as well so the info about your babies' rooms and how you decorated is so helpful. I'm sure you have tons of ideas for what to post, but would you think about a tutorial for making your own pillowcases one time? I noticed you made a lot of yours and would love to try. Happy blogging!
