While Thanksgiving isn’t my favorite holiday, the celebration of gratitude is certainly meaningful. It’s so easy to get caught up in our day to day and take most of what we have for granted. I try to pause daily to be thankful, but a whole holiday to reflect and give thanks is good for the soul.
After months of uncertainly, we closed on a new-to-us home yesterday. I’ve been dying to share the news with you all, but with the problems we’ve faced in this journey thus far, I didn’t want to speak too soon. We are beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives. There will certainly be lots of memories made (and projects) in this home, and we are feeling especially blessed on this day of thankfulness.
I pray that each and every one of you have much to be thankful for today. I am grateful for your support and friendship throughout this whole home-building/buying process; your kind words and encouragement meant more than you could know. I look forward to sharing the next chapter with you all. Have a wonderful holiday and eat some pumpkin pie for me!
I am especially thankful to the two women who helped us get this home. Katie Timbers has been by our side since we started looking at homes last spring, and her perseverance and knowledge – not only about real estate, but also concerning a home’s quality and renovation – is unmatched. Lacey Moores‘ love of numbers and passion to get us the best loan for the least amount of money was a refreshing experience. Both of these women went above and beyond their job descriptions and were just as excited as we were at closing. You can just tell they love what they do. I can’t thank them or recommend them enough! If you’re in the Kansas City area and looking to buy, sell, or refinance be sure to check them out.

We were going to build and ended up buying as well. It was the best decision ever. I can't believe how much time and money it would have taken to build a house we probably wouldn't even have loved as much as what we have now. Yay for you for finding such a beautiful home! Congratulations! Looking forward to following along.

The home is beautiful already. It will be such fun following along with all you do. Give us a tour soon. My first suggestion is to walk through each room and pray for God's blessing over it. So happy you finally have a home. It will all be worth it, and you will appreciate it even more because of the what it took to get there.
