I was raised to regard thank you notes as a necessity. I remember how much I didn’t enjoy writing them when I was little, but I’m really grateful for the habit my mom instilled in me. I still try to take the few extra minutes to write them today. Xander isn’t to the point of writing yet, but I think it’s important to include him in the process, and I found a way to do so.
I’ve seen several different white crayon + watercolor art projects on Pinterest and thought it would translate well to a card.
I simply wrote “thank you” in white crayon and let Xander have at it with the watercolors. He’s type A (wonder where he gets it), so sometimes he struggles with letting loose. I think doing art projects like this is helpful.
It really is a quick and simple way for your kids to show gratitude and appreciation.
Do you like a hand-written note as much as I do?
