A week from today we close on our home. I just started packing – really smart, I know – and attempting to box up all of our possessions has shown me I’ve done a bit too much thrifting and hoarding. Since we’ve yet to find a house we can see calling home (well, we did, but it didn’t work out – or hasn’t worked out yet) I think it’s a good time to purge a lot of it. We’ll be living in a cabin on my in-laws property in the meantime and the simpler life calls for much less clutter.
So, Saturday morning I’ll be hawking some of my former prized possessions in my driveway. If you live in or near Grain Valley come check some of it out. While it’s mainly home decor, there are some woman’s accessories, craft supplies – a Cricut with several cartridges – and some manly stuff too – a workbench, Harley Davidson items, golf accessories.
But mainly home decor that I say I’ll use again one day, or things I bought with the intention of painting/updating but didn’t get around to it. The wicker trunk and greek key based lamp in this post, and the metal bench in this post will be there.
Besides packing I’ve been crafting away in preparation for two little girl’s 2nd birthday party tomorrow. I’ve never made a piñata before and I must say, while time consuming, it was a lot of fun.
You can find the listing for our moving sale here. With the big party that evening, I’ll only be open from 8 to noon. Hope to see some of you there!
