My little sister spent a good chunk of June in London, and to say I was envious would be an understatement. If you’ve been following this blog for any amount of time you probably know I’m a bit of an Anglophile. I might watch more British television than Brits do.
When Kate found out she was going I helped her pick out a camera and lens and with only a few months practice I would say she captured her stay beautifully. She spent half her time in London and the other half in the country: lodging in Thornbury Castle, one of Henry VIII’s. Envy has gone to jealousy at this point. There’s enough landscaping, detail and exteriors here to make Monday feel pretty good.
Kate was able to attend the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta with much of the royalty. No big deal, right?
This trip has me itching for one of my own. I love experiencing other cultures and capturing that with my own camera is such a joy.
Have you been anywhere exciting lately? Have any trips coming up?

I've lived in London for a while and it was an absolute dream, except for the extremely high cost of living… I still miss the place pretty often, even though I'm only a (pricey) 2 hour train ride away here in Belgium. I agree that capturing a trip on camera is one of the most lovely things there is. I've just been to Cuba (there's a photo diary on my blog) and in three weeks I've managed to snap over 2000 pictures. Those pictures are the best souvenirs, aren't they? 🙂

Those photos are amazing and belong in a coffee table book to be enjoyed for years to come. No trips planned, but this makes me want to pack my bags and head abroad.
