The older I get, the more I come to appreciate Easter. The celebration itself holds so much greatness for me, and I love that it’s a little less pressure (preparation-wise) than Christmas. When the weather is as nice as it was here yesterday, that’s just the cherry on top.
I sang in church Easter morning, so we were a bit rushed in the basket perusing and candy-eating (7:30am is a totally appropriate time for chocolate, right?), but the kids were excited and I was glad Xander asked for some practical things: new pajamas, some slippers and a clock for his room.
After church we headed to my parents for brunch and an egg hunt. The kids received the usual royal treatment.
She likes to eat as she goes.
It makes for pretty crazy holidays, but we’re really blessed to have both of our families about 10 minutes away from us. After a nap at home, we headed to my in-laws.
I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a great picture of all of the cousins (and we’re even missing the littlest here), but I’ll keep trying, and laughing, until then.
At just 2 days apart, it’s already been so fun to see these girls grow together.
I pray you had as blessed of a day as I did. Did you spend Easter party hopping, or get a chance to relax for a day?

I'm loving all of the pictures of Milly and her cousin. They are too adorable!
I'm starting to appreciate Easter as I grow older as well. We got to spend the whole afternoon hanging out at my aunt and uncles house. Most family events aren't very long and are centered around food, presents, etc so Easter is a nice change from that.
