⋅SLIDES Slides are definitely the shoes to own this season. I got these in the mail last week and have worn them pretty much every day. Comfortable, incredibly easy to take on and off, and casual enough for Walmart yet dressy enough for an evening out. I also love these, these, and these.
⋅THE DEFINED DISH I shared with you all that I’ve been working a lot on my health and diet this year. Through the Whole30 I found Alex at The Defined Dish, and I just love following her on Instagram. As a mom with young girls, her recipes are delicious and usually rather simple. And she’s just really fun to follow on social media. This chicken piccata is a favorite.
⋅HALLMARK I am so excited to be working with Hallmark Gold Crown Stores to bring you all some entertaining tips, tricks and DIYs this fall and winter! Hallmark is very special to me. I grew up collecting their ornaments, worked at a Gold Crown store in high school, Hallmark is headquartered in Kansas City, and my mom is continuing the tradition with collections of ornaments my own children look forward to opening every Christmas morning. Bringing the outdoors in is something I love to do this time of year, and the garland DIY I’ll show you how to make in the video above does just that!
⋅RUG Sometimes you come across a piece that feels fresh and much more expensive than it is. While sourcing for a client I stumbled on this rug, and it stopped me in my tracks. I want it. Real bad. The dark fringe it looks black but says navy, which would feel even more sophisticated and the simple texture and tone are super luxe and could work in a variety of spaces. Plus, it’s on sale.
⋅HOMEGOODS Do you ever buy candles at Homegoods? It’s a guilty pleasure of mine, but one that can be a dud in a few different ways. Sometimes you get a candle that appears to smell amazing, but then you light it and can barely smell anything at all. Or you end up with an incredible candle, never to find it’s replacement. I’ve bought several candles there that I hated to burn away because I knew once they were gone, they really were gone. Recently they’ve been carrying a lot of DW Home, and they have a good throw I only know this term because my best friend owns a scented wax company. Otherwise I would of had no idea what to call that, ha. I found their website online and it looks like I can order one of the ones I’ve enjoyed for not much more money. The scent that I was really obsessed with (Jasmine + Lychee) is of course nowhere to be found. Such is life. Anyone else have this debacle with Homegoods products? Half the time I don’t even buy food there because I don’t want to love something I have to pay 10 times more for on Amazon…
*I’m partnering with Hallmark Gold Crown but all thoughts and opinions in this post are my own.

HomeGoods….I feel your pain. Why do they have to put the stickers on the glass of picture frames?!
Have you tried the Turbano Plantain Chips? The. Best. Ever. But hard to find and way more expensive everywhere else.

It’s so silly! I haven’t but they sound amazing. I always get the ones from Trader Joes and they’re just kind of eh. I’ll have to look them up!

I still remember in college you showed me how to “wrap” a gift in a gift bag. I still use the tissue paper trick you taught me! 🙂

Ha, I love that! Oh, the good ole’ days!

Please…what is the tissue paper trick? I wrap almost exclusively in gift bags due to arthritis.

Ha, no real trick. You just grab the center of the piece and kind of fling your wrist to get it to puff out. Helps to evenly distribute the corners, etc!
