Whether we like it or not, I’m not complaining it seems as if spring is here to stay. The grass is greening, the storms are brewing, and the allergies are flaring. Plus, the trees are blooming. Which means loads of free decor for your home.
Truth be told, these pear tree branches smell like fish when they open up. Ha. But they’re the only flowering tree we have in our yard, and you take what you can get. Not all things that are beautiful are lovely…
Do you have any flowering trees or bushes in your yard? What are they?

We’re so far away from spring in NE! It’s refreshing and inspiring to see it around blog land, but makes me a little sad knowing we have months to go before starting to see buds or have the chill in the air be a distant memory. We have been teased with a few days of 60’s which was such a treat! Every year I remind myself how good all the snow is for our area, though, so I guess if I want it gone for good I should just move! 🙂

To make you feel any better, we had tornados destroy houses near us on Monday night, 70 and sunny today, and they’re calling for snow on saturday… 🙁 Midwest weather is crazy!

hahahah I was all “this is so beautiful” and burst out laughing when you said it smells like fish when it opens up.
I’m glad I’m enjoying it from my browser 😉 Mother nature gave us a taste of spring about 2 weeks ago and then shoved back winter in our face with bitter cold and snowy weather (I’m in southeastern Canada). We don’t usually get to see blooming trees until early to mid-April here so it’ll have to wait (that’s why I’m running away to Cuba in 2 weeks……….I can’t wait for winter to be over so I’ll spend the rest of it somewhere nice and warm). But I live near a national park so I except some very nice blooming trees soon (mostly apple and cherry trees…no fishy pear trees).

Yes, be glad! Cuba sounds amazing! Hope you enjoy your trip and the warmth. If it makes you feel better, they’re calling for snow here on Saturday! 🙁

this looks nice! We just moved into a new house, so I’m interested to see what kind of flowers and plants that will come up this spring.
