I put Xander’s room together before I even began Milly’s nursery, and I still enjoy it very much. For those of you who have been reading since my first post, here is some proof that I don’t do everything in pink, black and white! 🙂
This room used to be our office, the walls a really fun green and the window wall black. I picked this somewhat icy blue called Snowdrop by Glidden. It instantly brightened up the space and set a perfect neutral backdrop for the pops of red and rich wood tones.
I did not intend for Xander himself to be in these pictures. He hasn’t wanted to be in a photo for about a year now. Whether his sister’s arrival is to blame for this or not, I don’t know. Usually when I pull out the camera he heads for the hills and Milly grabs for the lens, but this time he politely asked if he could be in them, Angry Birds pajamas and all. How could I say no?

I love Xander's room, Gwen! The dresser definitely looks modernized with what you added to it! Love the red mirror! Xander is absolutely a doll! I love the videos of him rehearsing Bible versus on FB, and thought the verse on his chalk board is precious! Thanks for sharing these pictures and details. I appreciate the website links you added, which makes such easy access for your viewers to find the items! You are so great at what you do 🙂

Great, and thank you for stopping by! I really love your blog's name and the story behind it. My mom was born in New York and we have a lot of family in the area there, and I actually lived in the city for a bit out of college…Hope you have a wonderful week!

what a great boy room! So many clever and personal touches. I mostly love that you watercolored the little drawing he did. I'm going to search through my kid's art and see what I can find to embellish!

Oh, thank you Emily! I can only imagine the great things you could do with your talented watercoloring skills!
